What is Watch Safari?
Watch Safari is an exclusive and immersive week-long programme organised by GMT magazine to celebrate its 24th anniversary. This trip is specially designed for 24 watch enthusiasts, offering them the unique opportunity to discover the most prestigious Swiss watch manufactures.
From 27 October to 1 November 2024, participants will travel from Geneva to Schaffhausen, passing through iconic locations such as the Vallée de Joux and the Jura, visiting renowned maisons such as Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, Hublot, Louis Vuitton, Omega, Piaget and Zenith, but also niche brands such as H. Moser & Cie, Jaquet Droz and MB&F, not forgetting the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève.
This watchmaking safari offers a full programme including private visits, meetings with exceptional craftspeople, workshops, tastings and convivial moments. Everything during the week is included: meals, accommodation in 4 stars hotels and transport.

Check-in at Fraser Suites Geneva and Welcome Dinner
Ideal for getting to know the other safari participants and the GMT editorial team, you will discover local cuisine in one of Geneva's iconic restaurants and receive your welcome gifts. Free time after dinner.
Monday 28th October
Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, Audemars Piguet Museum, Piaget Cocktail
For the past 20 years, the Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Geneva has been creating exceptional, little-known products in this manufacture, which is brimming with talent. It will surprise you. After lunch with the watchmakers, we head to the Vallée de Joux for a private tour of the Audemars Piguet museum, with its surprising architecture! On your return to Geneva, we’ll discover the Piaget VIP Lounge exhibition over cocktails. We’ll stay overnight at Fraser Suites Geneva.
Tuesday 29th October
MAD House (MB&F), Hublot
Discover the brand-new MAD House, the sumptuous mansion of the non-conformist independent niche brand MB&F. We’ll have a change of scenery after lunch, when Hublot shows us the new wing of its manufacture and its innovation department. Then, we depart for Neuchâtel for dinner and stay overnight at the Hôtel Beaulac in Neuchâtel.
Wednesday 30th October
Zenith, Jaquet Droz
The morning will be devoted to an historic jewel of Swiss watchmaking, Zenith, where the iconic El Primero calibre was born, with lunch at the brand’s manufacture in Le Locle. Just next door, we’ll pay a visit to Swatch Group's most high-end brand, Jaquet Droz, renowned for its fabulous craftsmanship and automata. We’ll enjoy wine tasting with the CEO, have a surprise dinner and stay overnight at the Hôtel Beaulac in Neuchâtel.

Thursday 31st October
Omega (manufacture and museum), H. Moser & Cie
We head for Bienne, at the end of Lake Bienne, where Omega opens the doors of its high-performance manufacture and its museum, which is as informative as it is entertaining. After lunch, it's off to Schaffhausen and its jewel of fine watchmaking, H. Moser & Cie, a brand that is dynamic as it is avant-garde. There we’ll discover their latest limited series. Dinner and overnight stay in Schaffhausen.
Friday 1st November
Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (exhibition and workshop), closing dinner
We’ll return to Geneva in the morning, where we’ll have a guided tour of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève exhibition and introduction to watchmaking workshop. Surprise cocktail and closing dinner in the old town.
